On the one hand we are still faced with an ongoing pandemic. On the other hand we have a community in need of orientation, exchange, inspiration and business after a long dry spell. Our response to this challenge: automatica sprint.
A virus is severely restricting private and business activities around the globe. The hope to conduct in-person trade fairs in June has not been fulfilled. The coronavirus continues to dominate the headlines – and probably will for a while to come. How can we as a community deal with this? How can we continue to provide inspiration to an industry that neither wants nor can afford to wait another year for the next leading exhibition that is automatica?
This issue inspired the development of automatica sprint – a new digital event that was originally intended as a hybrid format to enable flexible reactions to the current situation at any time. Now the pandemic has decided: hybrid becomes digital and automatica sprint becomes an online-only format.
The community has thus gained a business and dialog platform of unlimited reach – a short agile sprint preceding the leading exhibition in June 2022. What to expect? It covers the entire market with a compact format. It focuses on dialog while maintaining Covid-19 compliance. It is flexible yet facilitates advance planning. And above all: It benefits all stakeholders. Who’s involved? The industry, VDMA Robotics + Automation and the experts of automatica and Messe München.
