Your participation in the Connected Machines special show

Interoperability is a key topic at automatica—it refers to the ability of various devices or machines to interconnect and communicate, to exchange data, and to make this data available to users regardless of their manufacturer.

From live demonstrations and developer discussions all the way to specialist presentations: The Connected Machines special show—presented by the VDMA team in cooperation with partners such as the OPC Foundation and umati—outlines current possibilities and how connectivity can be simplified even further.

Connectivity of the future—ready for your own live demo?

We have extended the Connected Machines special show’s concept: Companies from the OPC UA working groups now have an opportunity to demonstrate their connectivity competencies. Engage with our partners to exchange ideas and network with fellow professionals from other fields. Demonstrate your OPC UA proficiency to the trade fair visitors. Why not over a beer after work at the “Meet the Expert Get-together” on Wednesday evening, June 25, 2025 from 4:30 pm.

Apart from partner organizations from the OPC UA ecosystem (e.g. OPC Foundation, umati, FVA), a total of six different OPC UA Companion Specifications (CS) will be presented here. A Speakers‘ Corner with various specialist presentations—including yours, if you like—completes the special show. By the way: exhibitors also have the opportunity to integrate compatible machines at their own stand into the umati Dashboard decentrally via a QR code. Of course, across all trade fairs.

Partner organizations from the OPC UA ecosystem, participants of VDMA OPC UA working groups, and associated companies.

How to participate?

Whether in addition to your trade fair stand or as stand-alone trade fair participation: Take Connected Machines as an opportunity to present yourself within a themed environment at automatica that attracts your target group. Specific participation packages for partner organizations and member companies are available for this purpose. Are you already an exhibitor at automatica or Laser World of Photonics and would a second stand space involve too much effort for you? With the logo package, you are welcome as a speaker in our Speakers' Corner, even without a special show area.
