Having revolutionized logistics applications, mobile robots are now moving on to production as they enable unprecedented flexibility and productivity. The segment is booming even though implementations – the combination of robots from different manufacturers, to be precise – can cause disruptions in information flow and communication. Why? The robots lack common language skills so that robots of different manufacturers or models cannot understand one another. To solve this issue, selected companies present sustainable solutions based on VDA 5050 within the framework of AGV Mesh-up@automatica – in a battery production logistics application context for the first time. Let's develop the format together and make it a crowd puller!

Ready to test a mixed fleet of AGVs?

The large automatica special show in automatica Hall B4 has a live test event in an obstacle course spread over more than 600 m2 to demonstrate how to operate driverless transport vehicles and mobile robots from different manufacturers flexibly and efficiently – using a control system and shared travel paths. It focuses on the interaction between logistics and production, supply and transfer of materials, and interlinking plants and workspaces. In this context, Hahn Automation will present two battery production scenarios, and SYNAOS will provide the Intralogistics Management Platform as a centralized control station, which is a cloud-based software-as-a-service. The Production Logistics special show draws on the expertise of VDMA Materials Handling and Intralogistics.

Who can participate?

All suppliers of mobile robotics who are VDMA members with an existing successful implementation of the VDA 5050 interface. SYNAOS provides the control system for the AGV Mesh-up@automatica – prior technical coordination with SYNAOS is thus required.

How to participate?

Present your mobile robotics solution at the AGV Mesh-up and benefit from the impressive nature of practical demonstrations. As a participant, you get an additional adjacent information stand to present your company and to have technical discussions.

Already an automatica 2023 exhibitor? Then you are eligible to get a discounted fee on this additional stand. No resources for an additional stand? You also have an option of participating in the AGV Mesh-up at automatica 2023 with ‘just’ your mobile robot.
