Presentation at automatica Munich

Orientation through knowledge: the automatica Forum

From trend analyses to best practice examples: The automatica Forum 2020 in Hall A5/Booth 139 offers you first-hand expert knowledge and transfer of valuable know-how on the megatrends of automation such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence and man & machine. Focus of the lectures and panel discussions? The application areas of tomorrow.

Digital transformation, artificial intelligence and man & machine are the trend topics at automatica 2020 and also shape the program of automatica Forum. With its practice-oriented presentations, the event covers the entire range of application areas for robotics & automation – from the automotive industry and electronics to food, packaging and logistics. The forum is organized by Konradin Mediengruppe under the auspices of Automationspraxis magazine and held at automatica 2020.

Trend topic No. 1: digital transformation

automatica Forum will shed light on concepts for cloud and edge computing as well as smart data analysis and predictive maintenance concepts within the context of digital transformation. It also covers implemented examples of smart factories and the production of the future. But not only technical aspects are discussed here. After all, another important questions is: What vocational or additional training must employees undergo to be prepared for the digital transformation?

Trend topic No. 2: artificial intelligence

The second topic area focuses on current technology trends in AI and machine learning while pointing out potential for AI use in production facilities of SMEs. In addition, it provides insights on whether China is on the way to becoming an AI superpower and whether we need legal regulations for AI use in Europe. Last but not least, it covers the use of artificial intelligence as an assistive technology.

Trend topic No. 3: man & machine

Human-oriented design of AI systems in production plays an important role in the cooperation between man & machine. Concrete examples of actual applications demonstrate how collaborating robots and autonomous mobile robots support production processes. How can smart robotics generate more added value for people and employees in the future? The forum will provide an outlook on this, too.
