From trend analyses all the way to best practice examples: The automatica Forum in Hall A5 offers you first-hand expert knowledge and transfer of valuable know-how on the four megatrends of automation – Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence, Humans and Machines, and Sustainable Production.

The megatrends of Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence, Humans and Machines, and Sustainable Production are shaping our industry – and, thus, also the automatica Forum 2022. They form the common thread running through a variety of keynotes, practice-oriented presentations, and other knowledge formats – and are of course also reflected in the daily panel discussions and exhibitor presentations, for which we provide separate slots.

In 2022, the forum will once again be organized in large part by the Konradin Mediengruppe under the auspices of Automationspraxis magazine and will cover all relevant application areas of robotics and automation. While the morning program will focus on exciting presentations, the afternoons will bring entirely different formats – such as the munich_i CEO Round Table on Tuesday or topics surrounding IIoT on Wednesday.

Trend topic No. 1: Digital Transformation

What needs to be considered in the practical implementation of digital transformation in mechanical engineering and production? How to evaluate smart data analytics and predictive maintenance concepts? Are there any concrete practical examples of the factory of the future? Apart from such technical aspects, this is also about how companies take their employees along as they embark on this digital journey.

Trend topic No. 2: Artificial Intelligence

The market has realized that artificial intelligence is not a passing hype. But what does this really mean for the industry? The automatica Forum offers an overview of current technical possibilities and trends, highlights the various aspects of machine learning, and looks at the potential of AI deployment in production.

Trend topic No. 3: Humans and Machines

The smart factory pushes forward the intelligent and seamless cooperation between humans and machines. How to design software and AI systems suitable for humans? How to achieve safe and intuitive interaction with robots? The automatica Forum presents collaborative robots for production and shows the way towards democratization of robotics.

Trend topic No. 4: Sustainable Production

The EU’s goal of becoming climate-neutral by 2050 can only be achieved with the help of robotics and automation. This is not just about more efficient and climate-friendly production per se, but also about robotics and automation enabling economical production of climate-friendly products – such as solar cells or batteries for electromobility.
