How AI is helping to automate quality control

Currently, many quality controls are still carried out manually. Even though humans can develop outstanding skills in detecting defects, there are also many limitations associated with this. AI in conjunction with an image acquisition system optimized for the task at hand makes it possible to automate such manual inspection tasks. The lecture will present examples from various industries. In addition to realizations with commercially available cameras, examples with the K|Lens will also be presented, in which the specific advantages of multi-view technology come into play.
