The automatica Start-up Arena is a dedicated business platform in cooperation with Mobile World Capital Barcelona (MWCB). The goal is to advance ideas to market maturity. Newcomers, investors and representatives from the industry find know-how, investment opportunities and technical partnerships.
Service Robotics Demopark
The Service Robotics Demopark is the perfect platform for providers of professional service robotics applications. It aims to offer trade fair visitors a hands-on experience through exhibits with a concrete application context. What this means is that visitors can interact with the robots, safely touch them or even use their various assistance functions. Apart from mobile robotic solutions, exhibitors can also showcase conventional stationary industrial robotic solutions if they facilitate or require direct interaction between robots and humans. In addition, the robots’ field of application should be within the area of service robotics. The open stand concept and the opportunity for direct interaction with the exhibits make it attractive for visitors to spend some time at the stand and talk to the participating manufacturers.
The demonstration area is divided up into several theme areas that focus on the various applications for service robotics. Examples include medicine and agriculture. Manufacturers can exhibit both stationary and mobile robot systems and show them in action. Mobile systems can use an open area in the middle of the exhibition sector as well as various aisles within and on the periphery of the Park.
Every exhibitor has their own info point in the park, complete with a computer table, a poster board, and a brochure stand. For exhibitors with a separate stand at automatica, a second presence in the Demo Park is complementary!
Hosted show presenting selected service robotics solutions
Based on the proven concept from recent years, automatica 2018 will again feature a hosted show where selected service robotics exhibits will be presented at every full hour. Each show includes interviews with experts and live demonstrations of the corresponding robotic systems that are simultaneously projected onto a large screen. All exhibitors of the Demonstration Park may participate in the show by default. In addition, exhibitors of service robotics solutions with a separate stand can also apply to be featured in the show. It should be possible to present the exhibit directly in or in close proximity to the Demonstration Park for this purpose.
In the IT2Industry exhibition area at automatica 2020 ICT companies are clearly in the spot-light. In order to provide industry with ground-breaking solutions, automatica covers the entire spectrum from robotics and automation, extending on to information technology and finally to IT security.
