A dynamic industry

Machine vision experiences very dynamic growth – both in the past and in the future. The annual revenue generated by German manufacturers increased by an average of 9 percent between 2013 and 2019, and the industry is really taking off again after the Covid crisis: In 2021, the German machine vision sector generated revenue to the tune of 3.1 billion euros. That corresponds to an impressive 16 percent growth. VDMA R+A expects the revenue to increase by five percent to a total of 3.2 billion euros in the fiscal year 2022.

Modor Intelligence has estimated the total revenue of the global machine vision systems market in 2020 at 10.4 billion euros. The projection for 2026 is 22.1 billion euros.
