As a congenial complement to the IIoT Forum, heise Developer, iX and dpunkt.verlag have developed the IIoT Conference with a strong focus on software. Their target groups: engineers and automation technology experts as well as software developers and IT experts who make a joint effort to find synergies here.
Introducing a new trade conference: The first Industrial IoT Conference (IIoT) will take place on December 7 and 8, 2020 within the framework of automatica 2020. It sees itself as a bridge between automation and software development as it combines classic automatica topics with IT-related presentations.
This conference does not only aim at being relevant to both automation experts and software developers, but also at connecting the experts from both groups. This is essential because software-based applications have become indispensable across industries and sectors. Machine vision and sensor technology has always been closely linked to software, but IT is also playing an increasingly important role in assembly and handling technology as well as industrial and professional service robotics.
The IIoT Conference consists of a conference day on the first day of the trade fair with an expected 14 technical presentations in two tracks, and a preceding half-day workshop program. The closing get-together on December 8, 2020 will create additional opportunities for lively interdisciplinary dialogue.
While the thematic focus here is on the industrial Internet of Things, other interfacing areas of software and industrial production are covered as well.
The general conference language is German, individual keynotes and presentations will be in English. The conference will be held in the Press Center East.
