The global automotive industry is currently undergoing the most extensive transformation in its history. This change affects manufacturers and suppliers alike, confronts the industry with great challenges and raises questions that can only be answered in a joint effort. Car manufacturers must enter into cross-brand alliances with suppliers and digital players to implement a fundamental transformation of production and logistics in order to remain competitive. The automotive production summit 2020 will address the steps to be taken.
At the very top of the agenda: The transition towards the age of electromobility and the maintenance of an uncompromised quality level combined with cost reductions and increased efficiency. What does it take? Stable and responsive processes, a flexible supply chain, smart technologies and a high level of environmental responsibility to reduce production-related CO2 emissions. At the automotive production summit 2020, numerous top-level industry experts will analyze and discuss what the transformation towards these goals could look like.
The central editorial office of the Automobil Produktion and automotiveIT trade magazines envisioned the automotive production summit as a cross-brand congress to address economic and strategic topics as well as trends in IT. Therefore, the event considers itself a platform for dialogue between board members, executives and technical departments such as production, logistics, purchasing and IT, as well as IT providers and suppliers of equipment and components.
